 | "The Loughborough & District Charity Cup Association was formed on April 16th 1898 ... although there were a number of local 'giants' among the first entrants it was to be Loughborough Emmanuel FC who would have their name engraved on the virgin base, with a 2-0 victory over Quorn Havelock ..." LEFC were also finalists in 1901 and 1902. The trophy base has been replaced at some time in its history, and the location of the base with LEFC's name on it is not known. |
